Time to shoot a video

Missy Elliot just twittered that she will be filming the video for Ciara's single "Work". Here what she said below:

YaGirlMissyGonna start shooting the video for Work with Ciara this week. Im excited! from web

It's time to WORK, WORK, WORK, WORK, WORK, WORK, WORK, WORK, Ciara you betta WORK. (lol) It's about time she released this smash waiting to happen. Ciara's Fantasy Ride is currently at the #10 position on the Billboard Charts and I'm sure the label wants to release another single to make sure the album doesn't slip to the point of no return!!!!!!!!

Why she's not a smash? Don't look at me I don't know!

Kat Deluna was at PIX11 recently to perform her current single Dance Bailalo.

That performance was BOSS! This performance made me a fan of the song Dance Bailalo. Kat D. has always been the business, and deserves more success. We can be so fickle in the US honestly. We like you one minute, the next sorry friend but your out!!! Kat at one point in time was dubbed the Latina Bey. Now one cares about her whining anything.(-_-)

Who am I diggin'

I've decided to do a random post on a artist I'm diggin' rite now.

Guess who it is....

It's Michelle Williams everybody!!!!!

Okay if you don't have Unexpected pick it up people!!!!!!!! It has one of my favorite songs in the world Stop This Car. That track is BONKERS and needs to be released just so it can smash the charts. Back to the topic, for those who don't know, Michelle was 1/3 of Destiny's Child, has released two gospel album, and one R&B/Dance album. I feel that with the right promotion Michelle could be big she has the voice, the personality and the look. I think Unexpected may not have performed as well as some hope, but it did show the world Ms. Williams can be a successful solo artist. Hopefully next go round the label will handle her album the way it should be.

Check out the video of Michelle performing Stop This Car live:

DMX Free!?!

It is being reported that DMX has been released from jail after a 90 day stint.

While an official statement has yet to emerge, a rep for the rapper has reportedly confirmed his departure.

Earl "DMX" Simmons was reportedly freed from an Arizona jail after 90-days behind bars on drug and animal cruelty charges.Yonkers Hip-Hop star DMX is free after serving over 90 days in jail on drug, fraud, and animal cruelty charges, a representative said. The rapper was released from Tent City, aka the Maricopa County Jail, late yesterday (May 13) afternoon. (All Hip Hop)

The only thing that could make this news better, is if X said he had a release date for his new album . DMX has always been one of my favorite rappers but he just disappeared so I kind of forgot about him. What's My Name? is still one of the best hip hop songs ever released IMO(-_-)

Jordin declares love is a Battlefield

This has been the best performance since Gaga came to AI and shut it down. Jordin has lost a bit of weight, and is looking better than ever. Also this is the first time Jordin has performed and I couldn't look away. She really has grown into a great performer. Performance grade: A

Ciara visits Ellen

Retro Ciara hit up Ellen and performed her new single Love, Sex, and Magic.

I'm sorry is my skin burning cause that performance was scorching!! I could have lived without the afro wig though. IMO I really hope all this promo Cici is doing will help her in the 2nd week of her sales cause Fantasy Ride is G-R-E-A-T.

Analyzing why am I a fan.....

Why oh why, do I like Diddy?

  • Is it his amazing singing ability?
  • Could it be that his rap skills are better than Jay-Z?
  • Or is it because he can out dance Usher on a bad day?
The truth is that none of the reasons listed above are why I like Diddy. The real reason is because, quiet honestly he isn't great at any of the things. When he sings he's basically talking, his rapping is okay but nothing to run brag about. Then dance wise he's been doing the same moves since the 90's! In my heart of hearts I know I should be like everyone else and say Puffy is WACK, but I can't. The reason I like him as artist is because he can't sing, raps skill are iffy, he does the same dance every performance, and the main thing that makes me a fan is his S-W-A-G.

Diddy probably knows he isn't the most musically talented artist; but does he care? Hell NO!!! Diddy has alot of power and influence when it come to the music industry. Money talks and talent walks, and serves me my food at Micky D's. When you have money, swag, and power having the most amazing skills aren't needed. Diddy shows you that with the moderate skill and the right tools behind you, can help you reach the top and stay there. ** Waits for Last Train to Paris 1st single. Until then I'll watch Diddy lip sync Come to Me during the NFL game on youtube. Classic Diddy, gotta love it**

Simple Math

It has been confirmed that Ciara and Jay-Z are going on tour together.

+ =

Jay-Z and Ciara are planning a summer tour together, the former's representative has confirmed to Billboard.com.

"I will say it because the information has been leaked. Me and Jay-Z will be doing a 10-city tour run together! More details coming soon! [sic]" Ciara revealed on Twitter Monday night.
The full itinerary has not yet been announced, but Jay-Z's rep did say it won't be a 10-city tour, although she wouldn't confirm if it was more shows or less.
Still, a few dates and venues have already been revealed, including stops July 3 and 4 at The Pearl at The Palms in Las Vegas, July 10 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut, and July 12 in Atlanta.

Before the Jay-Z tour, Ciara will support Britney Spears on the European leg of the "Circus" tour in June.

Woah! My favorite rapper Jay Z and my top 5 favorite female artist Ciara, are touring together, get out of town. That show is going to be BONKERS. Concert goers are going to get the best of both worlds forreal. A dance spectacle and rap at its best.

Chrisette Michele Live

Chrisette Michele stopped by David Letterman to perform her new single Blame It On Me.

Since Chrisette has the number one album in the country, I've decided to pretend I have been a stan forever. Here goes... OMG that performance was crazy, Chrisette destroys all things known as your fave!!! How was that? No really Ms. Michele did a BANGIN' job, and it's easy to see why she's #1.

YO! Kelly Don't Hook Up

Kelly Clarkson stopped by Jay Leno to perform her new hit single I Do Not Hook Up.

Kelly sounded great. If you've been online to the forums or blogs you'll find that everyone has been ripping into Kelly for gaining weight. During this performance you'll see she wears all black and the camera angles are done to flatter her shape. I feel bad for Ms. Clarkson, just because she's a singer people want to stay thin. I think its great she put on a few pound, it show she's normal. I mean lets be honest from time to time we all gain weight!

Miss underrated is BACK!!!

Amerie new song Why R U just made its way online. Check out the link below:

http://www.rapradar.com/music/new-mu...radio-rip.html

Signature Amerie, nuff said. As I always say with A's music, you either like it or you don't. Success wise this could go either way. I hope its a hit, cause I think Amerie is bonkers!

Kristinia DeBarge Interview

When 12 year-old Kristinia DeBarge first revealed to her musician father that she too wanted to pursue music, he quickly put her claim to the test.James DeBarge, the founding member and keyboardist of the chart-topping 80's R&B family group, DeBarge, took his daughter into his studio that night to work on a duet. "We recorded 'How I Feel Inside' until 4 am," says the younger DeBarge. "Before then, I didn't know the pros and cons of a music career. When we finished he asked me if I still wanted to do it, and I immediately said yes."After recording the duet, the Kristinia DeBarge, now 19-years-old, participated in "American Juniors" in 2003, a spin-off of "American Idol," on which she performed "Reflections" by Christina Aguilera.

Although she did not win, she made it to the final 20.Still, DeBarge continued honing her skills and gaining exposure, mainly by traveling with her father on his stateside tours. It was on one of these treks that she met who would later give her big break. "I met Kenny [Babyface Edmonds] when I was 14. From that day, he has been developing me all the way to now," she says about the singer/songwriter, who she's been working with for the past five years. On the eve of her 19th birthday, all DeBarge's hard work and patience paid off. She took a meeting with Def Jam's Antonio "L.A." Reid and played him her a few songs she'd recorded for her debut. A few hours later, DeBarge was signed to Edmond's own Sodapop Music/Def Jam."Now that I'm 19 it's the best time for me to come out," she says. "I enjoyed my childhood and teen years but I will be 20 soon and this album defines who I am at the moment."The first single off the as-yet-untitled debut album, slated for a summer release, is "Goodbye," which samples the 1969 #1 hit by Steam. Currently at No. 26 on the pop chart, "Goodbye," which was featured in a national Nivea television commercial early this year, is "about a happy girl," says DeBarge. "She's not tripping over this guy. She's saying she totally expected this from him and now she's got her single girl swag back." An accompanying video for the track was shot last week in Venice Beach, Calif.Other songs on the album are more vulnerable, including "Cry Me A River," about a break up and "Sabotage," about the struggles of peer pressure."This album is about strength and power in women. It's supposed to be an inspiring album. I want women to feel like they're [going to be] okay," adds DeBrage. "You hear a lot of vulnerability in the songs but vulnerability can be to your advantage. It allows people to be more compassionate, open-minded… This album is for all girls—they can be 50-years-old or 13-years-old. It's here to tell them life goes on."

And while DeBarge, who will be going on a promotional tour starting June 4th, followed by stateside tour later this summer, recognizes her father has played a major role in her musical career, she also credits the likes of Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys and Aretha Franklin as well as rock and roll acts like Led Zeppelin, Guns n' Roses, and Alice in Chains as her inspirations."My music is similar to Led Zep and the other bands lyrically, but vocally like Mariah and some of the others," she explains. "Overall, there is also a lot of emotion and conviction in all of their songs, like mine. My music is like religion – it all comes together in one place."

Overall good interview. It's easy to see that Kristinia has "IT", and if she is really Janet Jackson's secret daughter she could have staying power. But I really need to hear sing more before I put her on the elite level of Mimi (old Mariah not the new one)

The BET Awards are coming...

BET just announced its nominees and performers for this years award show.

I'm to lazy to post all the info so below is the link:

Thank goodness Beyonce is performing this year. The BET Awards without Beyonce is so blah.

Lady Gaga stops by Ellen

Lady Gaga stopped by Ellen to performed Pokerface which hit number one a few weeks ago. Check out the performance below.

HOTT as usual. I've been thinking of a dream tour. Picture this Kelly Rowland, Lady Gaga, and Ciara. Ohhhhhhh that sounds so crazy i'm going to stop there. lol

Raven may have a record deal!!!!!!

There are reports that CMG or (Coalition Media Group) is the new home of singer/actress Raven Symone. Coalition Media Group is a subsidiary of Universal Records. Until we hear this officially from Raven or her management we will treat this as a rumor. Raven recently split from her deal with Hollywood records.

This could be good. Maybe. Possibly. Half/half. Okay honestly I wanted Raven to sign to a major label. She has to much talent to just be used on the indie circuit. Leaving Hollywood records was a super power move. Now I could be wrong and the indie label thing maybe her niche, who knows. I do know I can't wait for a new album!

Ciara 3rd single is....

"Tell Me What Your Name Is" will be the third official single to be lifted from Ciara's Fantasy Ride album.

Meh... I've heard better songs on the album. I mean don't get me wrong, Tell Me What Your Name Is is good but it's no Like a Surgeon. I honestly feel Ciara is trying to change lanes and try new things, but isn't giving the fans what they want and it's showing on the charts. If CiCi wants to she should release the following:

3RD: Work

4th: Like a Surgeon

5th: Pucker Up

These tracks could put Ciara back on the mainstream map!

** Update**

The numbers are starting to come in for this weeks album release. And its looks like Ciara's Fantasy Ride is going to finish at # 3 with just over 80 thousand copies sold, while Chrisette Michele will get her first #1 album with Epiphany selling over 83,000 copies.

Congrats to both ladies! I know the Ciara stans are 38 HOTT right now, but when you think about it her sales were good based on all the push backs, leaks, flop singles, and a declining record industry. IMO

Snoop is cleared....

AP is reporting that Snoop Dog has been cleared hitting man who came on stage.

SANTA MONICA, Calif. (AP) -- A civil jury says Snoop Dogg didn't hit a man who came up on stage during a 2005 concert near Seattle.
The rapper wasn't in court Friday when the jury's verdict cleared him of civil assault and battery claims. The jury did find that Richard Monroe Jr. suffered serious injuries during the concert and awarded him $449,400 in damages to be paid by a record label, another performer and others involved in the concert.
The damages awarded were substantially lower than the $22 million Monroe sought when he sued the rapper in 2006.
Jurors found that Snoop Dogg, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, doesn't personally owe Monroe anything.
During two weeks of testimony, jurors were repeatedly shown a video of a melee that Monroe said left him unconscious, badly bruised and nearly naked.
Monroe's attorney, Brian E. Watkins, said jurors did believe his client's contention that Broadus' people were involved in a savage beating.
"We're very pleased that the jury found that this incident was not something to be taken lightly," Watkins said.

WOW I didn't even now about this. Hip hop shows are known to get rough, but that doesn't excuse anyone from hitting someone. But I doubt Snoop hit this guy, when Snoop hits the stage he's usually high, and he doesn't have the reflexes to hit anybody. lol

Irv Gotti has released Ashanti

Ashanti is no longer with Inc. records formally Murder Inc records.

I'm tired so just in case you don't know Ashanti got DROPPED!!! It's unclear if she's still with Universal records. Ashanti we are hoping for the best, but its rough out here. Those tricks you used to make us love won't work now. So you know what that means.... its time to learn to DANCE!!!!!! Adding this to your list of skills will put you back in the top 20. Really Ashanti is a great artist and it would be a shame if she disappeared from the music industry. Only U PUNCHES like crazy!!

Fergie still SOLO (shh don't tell the B.E.P)

Or

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Fergie plans to record another solo album.

The Black Eyed Peas have been holding down the No. 1 spot on Billboard's Hot 100 chart for over a month now with "Boom Boom Pow." Never before have they reached so high -- at least, not as a group. The Peas' Fergie, however, has already been to No. 1 not once but three times before with singles off her 2006 solo debut. Which raises a question: How soon can we expect her to record a Fergalicious follow-up? "I definitely will make more solo music," she tells the Music Mix. "That's for sure. That I can tell you. I just don't know when."

The reason Fergie can't get more specific just yet is that she's busy preparing for the June 9 arrival of the Peas' The E.N.D. Between promotional appearances and touring for that album, she estimates it'll be at least a year and a half before she'll have a chance to prioritize her solo career. "All I'm about right now is living and breathing The E.N.D.," she says. "At the end of this run, I'll probably want to take a month and lay out by my pool and barbeque and hang with my dogs and my husband, and then after that, I'm going to see what is the next step."

Who didn't see that coming? I mean solo wise, Fergie is arguably bigger than the Black Eyed Peas so its only natural that she want to work on her red HOTT solo career. I think that Fergie joined back with B.E.P just as a thank you for helping her reach the top. Do you prefer solo or group Fergie?

All hail Kelly Rowland!!!

Hot on the promo trail Kelly R. performed her new single When Love Takes Over which features David Guetta.

Kelly killed it!!! I have always wanted to hear her go all out and SANG, and sang she did. Side note is anyone watching Kelly's new tv series The Fashion Show which airs Thursday on the Bravo channel (check ur local listing). Anywho the show is good I HATE fashion, but Kelly and the creepy crazy contestants make the show great.

Lady Gaga wants to give me more music!?!

Lady Gaga's "Poker Face" and "Just Dance" are still burning up the charts and enjoying regular radio play, but she plans to keep it rolling and continue her pop-world domination with two new songs already on the horizon. The New York native is excited about her new single, "Love Game," and is eager for fans to check out the new video, directed by music-video vet Jonas Ã…kerlund, who has previously helmed clips for the Smashing Pumpkins, Madonna, Moby and U2. " 'Love Game' is already on the radio, which is very exciting," she told MTV News at the KIIS-FM Wango Tango music festival at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Irvine, California. "And I just finished my video for 'Paparazzi,' which I really am very pleased with the way that turned out. It's like a short film."

But the singer isn't just releasing songs off The Fame album — she's already hard at work on some new music. However, don't expect the collection of tunes to make it onto a traditional album release — these songs are more like a thank-you letter to her devoted fans. "I also started writing more music and I'm planning to release approximately six new songs by the end of the year," she explained. "I'm just putting it out there … I don't function on the same industry timeline as everyone else." -MTV.com

I thinks it's cool of Gaga to release new music even without an album coming out. Releasing these guranteed "Crack Tracks" digitally is a easy way to obtain A. More money B. More # 1's (watch ur back Riri)

Guess who just caught my attention...

It's Ke$ha everybody!!!

Don't know her? Well your not alone being that she is the singer who sings the extremely catchy hook for Flo Rida's Right Round. But she's not in the video nor does she ever perform the song with him. I wonder why (-_-)

Any who, Ke$ha is signed under RCA and she's currently working with Dr. Luke and Max Martin on her debut album. She also provides vocals on Ciara's "Tell Me What Your Name Is and appeared in Katy Perry's I Kissed a Girl video.

Below is her song Backstabber check it out:

Ke$ha, Venue 808 is officially checkin' for you so don't disappoint . I see bright things in your future.

Venue 808

Why I started this blog?

That's a good question. I have always been a big music fan, you can ask me almost anything, and I can possibly answer it. So for the longest I've wanted to start my own site discussing the various things happening in the entertainment world. Up until now I just window shopped on other people blog, but today I got the courage( well maybe stop being lazy) and decided to act on my dream of having my own celeb blog.

Who are my favorite artist?

My favorite artist are the following:

Females:

Kelly "Watch me be better than ur Fave" Rowland
Ciara "Watch me dance" Harris
Janet "Watch me ICON on these losers" Jackson
Brandy "Watch me touch ur soul" Norwood
Lady "Watch me spaz out" Gaga
Cassie "Watch me sing..."

Males:

Usher " Watch ur back Micheal I want ur spot" Raymond
T.I. " Watch me break out of Jail"
Micheal "Watch me Moon Walk to the top" Jackson
Drake "Watch me leave Degrassi high and dry"
Sean " Who needs talent when you got money" Combs
Kid "Watch me fly to the moon" Cudi

Cassie Preps to deliver Electro Love

Hot off the heels of having her very private pictures put on display for the world to see and shaving her hair, Cassie is preparing for the release of her 2nd album entitled Electro Love. The singer/model sat down with BallerStatus to discuss her album other things.

When speaking of her new CD Electro Love she said:

"I think I just spent a lot of time trying to figure out myself" says Cassie referring to her 2-year musical hiatus "I was letting a lot of people tell me what to do and what direction I should go in.""I sat down and started working with what producers I wanted to work with. It took time, but I've been working on this album [Electro Love] for a couple years now."

Speaking of her new single Must Be Love feat Diddy and how the song is classic Bad Boy:

"When people say that, it's an honor. I really fought for the record," Cassie says of her new single. "It was kind of like lingering around in Bad Boy and I was like 'Can I please have it?' They said ok and we tried it out. I really fell in love with that record."

Then Cassie even gives up info about that whole head shaving thing:

"For like three or four months, I've been talking about it," Cassie explained. "I just wanted to do something different. I started modelling when I was 12 and my hair was always long and dark. I didn't want to colour it and thought what could I do different?""I don't want attention; it's not what I'm going for. I just wanted to try something that I've never done and choose a crazy hairstyle."

Okay I have something to say.................... I'm a Cassie fan! There I said it. I feel like, no she doesn't have the strongest voice, but she works with what she has. She has some of the hottest songs in the world (I'm a Lover, My House, Me &U, Is it You, Ditto, and the list goes on). I personally don't want to sit and listen to a "Sanger" all day, sometimes I want to hear a soft sweet voice and a crazy beat! Cassie's coming for ur faves soul this go round. Oh did I say I'm really excited about Electro Love.

Jordin Sparks Battlefield

Jordin Sparks new single Battlefield has just leaked hours ago. Can you say CrazyCoolInsane!!!
This track screams EPIC and I can really see it having a constant on spot on Billboards top 10. Listen below:

http://usershare.net/ma8heiiil14u.htm

On a side note Jordin has always been one of my favorite AI winners not only because she can most likely outsing your fave but because she gives off a very fresh and new vibe, something I feel the industry needs in a time of blah!
